INTRODUCTION AND DETAILS:

            eXtremeBoost.com is once again PROUD to announce the availability of its Third Toyota MR2 Turbo COMPLETE Turbokit. This time fabricated for the Gen III MR2 Motor (1996-1999 3SGTE) Utilizing a genuine Garret Ballistic Concepts GT30 Dual Ball Bearing turbocharger. This turbo is well known as probably the most advanced and premium turbo on the market today! Its advanced ball bearing system design allows this turbo to acheive the best spool up characteristics available considering the extremely high output.

            The genuine Garret GT30 turbo is not the only premium part found in our kit... You will also find a Tial 46mm wastegate (available in polished, red, blue or violet finish). This system utilizes a custom reinforced equal length polished stainless steel tubular exhaust manifold, and a mandrel bent polished stainless downpipe

            The details of the kit are as follows. The manifold that we had custom modified for the Gen III application being a totally new bolt and port pattern on the cylinder head. These modifications to this manifold were made to fit the GT30 properly into the MR2 engine bay.  We had our fabricator reinforce the stainless steel equal length tubes at the collector to help resist cracking which is also done under each exhaust pipe runner.  The GT30 turbo is actually lighter then the T04, putting less stess on the manifold which will help prevent cracking even further. The manifold also feeds to the Tial 46mm Wastegate.

            Moving on, after the manifold comes the Garret GT30 turbo. Included will be the hardware and gaskets to mount the turbo to the manifold. Once the turbo is mounted you will find it very nice that we included a set of AeroQuip High Performance Fittings, along with stainless steel braided oil and coolant lines for the turbo. Thats right, for durability and reliability, this turbo is water cooled just like the ultra reliable stock Toyota CT26 turbo. Our lines are just the right length with the correct fittings so you can adapt the oil feed and return, and the coolant feed and return to the turbocharger.

            Downstream of the turbo comes the downpipe. We have made our 3" mandrel bent downpipes out of stainless steel and installed a bung for the O2 Sensor. The included mandrel dumppipe off the Tial wastegate feeds into the downpipe. Feeding the dumppipe into the downpipe is done to keep the vehicles sound levels down. Many systems for the MR2 dump the wastegate directed gases to the atmosphere, but in order to aviod emissions issues, we have designed the turbokit so Our system routes these exhaust gases back into the exhaust system. One more fantasic benefit of our turbo system is that it aligns with the stock exhaust system or your aftermarket cat back system so that you dont have to have any custom exhaust work done.
