The eXtremeBoost SW20 MR2 Project

Jeffery's Story - Major Down Time (Part1)

After a summer of beatings, I did some research and found out that 950-1000C EGT (exhaust tempatures) were not good !!!  I started to have some cooling problems and we decided to once again, pull the head off this bad boy, only to see my beuatiful JE pistons looked like the Rocky Mountains, and I had wrecked the crown of my cylinder head.  By this time, I was all over the chat groups with my fellow MR2 owners, and getting into the scene.  The guys had encouraged me to build a monster project, and that was what I decided to do.  In the process of the downtime, since I was broke, I started to save and buy parts, one by one, over the winter.  Parts kept rolling in and another summer passed, another winter, and so on.  I was buying so many parts, the wholesaler started to give me discounts.  I decided it was time to make some money back, and started selling parts on the net.  My new income was becoming larger, and I was in the position that I needed to register a business.  We called it "eXtremeBoost.com".  I had a 500 RWHP goal in mind for this MR2, and that seemed almost impossible out of a 2.0L 4 Cylinder.
